It’s easy to say “thank you” and move on, but this one feels different.

Global Café started in 2018 with a simple idea: create real economic opportunity for immigrants and refugees by giving them a platform to share their food, their culture, and their work ethic. No shortcuts, no fluff—just good food made from scratch and people building something for themselves and their families.

This award recognizes that work, but more importantly, it recognizes the people behind it. The individuals who show up every day, often having overcome more than most of us will ever fully understand, and still bring warmth, consistency, and incredible food to our community.

It also reflects something just as important: the role you all play in this.
